NIRA Trial Results and Insights: My 90-Day Experience

After years of being tough on my skin—especially by skipping sunscreen until my 50s—I’ve been left with discoloration, fine lines, and overall skin damage. While I’ve made progress with skincare, I wanted to see if at-home laser treatments could help take my results further. That’s why I decided to test two NIRA laser devices over an extended period.
My goal was simple: Could I improve my skin’s condition and, ultimately, feel more confident? If you’re considering incorporating lasers into your routine, my findings might help you decide whether these tools are worth the investment.
Devices Used: NIRA Pro vs. NIRA Precision
For this trial, I used two NIRA laser devices:
• NIRA Pro: A full-face laser designed to treat larger areas like the face, neck, chest, and hands.
• NIRA Precision: A more compact device designed to target smaller, specific areas, such as fine lines and dark spots.
I started by using the NIRA Pro for 90 days and later reached out to the company to better understand the difference between the devices. They were kind enough to send me the NIRA Precision for additional testing, allowing me to compare the two. This was a great alternative to professional treatments, which require travel and appointments.
My Experience with NIRA
I found both devices easy to use and surprisingly relaxing.
• The NIRA Pro delivers a warm sensation that I found soothing, and I liked the convenience of being able to treat my face, neck, chest, and hands while unwinding. That said, it doesn’t “glide” over the skin—you have to place it, activate it, and move to the next spot, which takes some time.
• The NIRA Precision was great for focusing on stubborn areas, like dark spots on my hands and under my chin. However, since it treats such a small area at a time, it wasn’t practical for larger sections of skin.
One of the biggest benefits was convenience—I could use these devices at home without worrying about downtime or scheduling visits to a dermatologist.
Results: Skin Changes and Observations
As someone in my 60s, I approached this trial with realistic expectations. Skin rejuvenation takes time, and I knew that after decades of sun exposure, improvement wouldn’t happen overnight. However, after 90 days of consistent use, I noticed several positive changes:
Improvements Noted
✔ Pore Appearance: My pores appeared smaller and less noticeable.
✔ Fine Lines: The lines around my eyes and mouth seemed shallower, and the skin around my eyes felt smoother.
✔ Neck and Chest: I noticed firmer skin and fewer pronounced lines, plus my neck looked less crepey.
✔ Hands: The dark spots on my hands had faded, making them look visibly younger.
While these changes were gradual, I could see and feel the difference in my skin.
Skincare Routine During the Trial
NIRA recommends pairing their devices with the Youth Renewal Peptide Cream and Hyaluronic Acid Serum for enhanced results. I gave both a fair shot but, unfortunately, neither worked well for me.
• Youth Renewal Peptide Cream & Hyaluronic Acid Serum: No matter how I applied them, both products caused my skin to pill, especially when layered under sunscreen or makeup. I tried different application methods, but the issue persisted. Because of this, I stopped using them early in the trial.
Instead, I relied on my own tried-and-true skincare, which includes:
• NIRA Pro: Used at night on my face, neck, chest, and hands.
• NIRA Precision: Applied in the morning for targeted areas like my hands and chin.
• Supporting Skincare: My regular hydrating products, including retinol and rich moisturizers.
Conclusion: Was It Worth It?
After 90 days of dedicated use, I absolutely see the results. The most noticeable improvements include
• Finer lines and wrinkles: They appear shallower and less prominent.
• Sagging skin: A subtle but visible lift, especially around my jowls.
• Dark spots: Significant lightening on the backs of my hands.
• Neck and chest texture: Less crepey and more refined.
Which Device Would I Choose?
If I had to pick just one, I would go with the NIRA Pro because it covers a larger area. At this stage in life, I want something that works on my entire face, neck, chest, and hands—not just targeted spots.
Final Thoughts: Is NIRA Right for You?
If you’re considering at-home laser treatments to improve fine lines, dark spots, and overall skin texture, NIRA is a solid option. While I didn’t love their skincare products, I do think the devices themselves are effective with consistent use.
I hope my experience helps inform your decision! Have you tried at-home laser devices? Let’s chat in the comments—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
